Food Coordination Course

A wealth of courses, a lovely uniform, and overseas exchange — a truly enjoyable high-school life.
I aspired to become a registered dietitian and love cooking, so I chose the Food Coordination Course. Through cooking practice, I prepared traditional festival foods such as osechi, deepening my understanding of food culture. My favorite event was the Australia school trip — through the homestay I experienced local food culture firsthand, which was a truly valuable learning experience.

I wanted to become a childcare worker and enrolled in the Childcare Course, but my experience working part-time at an after-school childcare program led me to become interested in early childhood-to-elementary connected education. Thanks to a rich curriculum, my future options broadened, and I also gave my all to committee activities.

Overseas study support is comprehensive, and you can learn alongside peers who set high goals.
I took on a 10-month study abroad in France while I could only manage greeting-level French. In Hakuho's environment where students engage proactively in everything, I received abundant stimulation and support. At university I want to specialize in French and deepen my understanding of French culture, history, and politics.

I found Hakuho more appealing than an international school and chose it.
I was born in the U.S. and came to Japan in fourth grade, and I wanted to learn in an environment with friends who share a similar background. Over three years I refined myself alongside motivated classmates. Studying abroad in Thailand — where I interacted with international students from around the world and learned about differing values — was also a valuable experience.

There are many chances to take on challenges, and the school actively supports each student's motivation.
In a class of students with diverse backgrounds, I developed multifaceted perspectives. I refined my English through exchange with friends of overseas roots and through study abroad, and I broadened my horizons through study in the U.S., Thailand, and Ireland. In the future, I want to obtain qualification as a Japanese-language teacher and support foreigners living in Japan.

In Hakuho's lively environment, my attitude toward study changed dramatically. After school, I made full use of the SS Lab and actively asked my teachers questions. Encouraging each other with friends before general admissions is also an unforgettable memory. I found my goal — to study welfare around the world and help solve issues, even a little.

An environment where you can immerse yourself in creation — and because the school is strong in English, your English ability also improves.
During the school tour I fell in love at first sight with the analog equipment in the console room and decided to enroll. The Media Room facilities are excellent, and interacting with students from other courses broadened my perspective. In the future, I want to return to Hakuho as an art teacher and teach design.

Three years in which I gave my all — enjoying my studies, clubs and events alike.
I wanted to play water polo, so I chose Hakuho — a strong school in the sport. I started as a beginner, and I was truly delighted when we won a bronze medal thanks to working hard with my teammates. Classes at Hakuho are easy to follow and admissions support is thorough. Even English, which I struggled with, improved through one-on-one coaching from my teachers, and I was accepted to university. In the future, I want to become a nurse who can serve on the front lines of emergency care.

In the Select Course, many peers pursued university via general admissions. We supported one another as we made it through. Approaching teachers with questions on career direction and study approaches, and receiving sound guidance, was genuinely reassuring. Because our school invests fully in student events, my third-year school festival became an unforgettable memory of two truly exciting days.

I also took on the challenge of a long-term overseas study program
I was interested in the international track, but I wanted to acquire broad learning, so I intentionally chose the Select Course. I studied many science subjects and acquired well-rounded academic ability. The teachers at Hakuho firmly support what each student wants to do, regardless of course. I want to use the broad perspective I gained through study abroad to address issues such as international poverty.
