Enabling Deeper Exchange
Making Exchange Even Deeper
We conduct an exchange program with Hofstad Lyceum in The Hague, Netherlands. Each year, selected Hakuho students take part in a roughly 10-day program in the Netherlands, and about 10 Dutch students from our partner school participate in a program at Hakuho, deepening student exchange around Japanese culture and beyond.

Netherlands Exchange Program
We run an exchange program with Hofstad Lyceum in The Hague, Netherlands. Each year, selected Hakuho students take part in a roughly 10-day program on-site in the Netherlands, while around 10 Dutch students from the partner school join programs at our campus — deepening student-to-student exchange around Japanese culture and more.

Bhutan Exchange Program
Each year, exchange students from our sister school Utpal Academy High School (Bhutan) stay at our school for approximately two weeks. They take part in classes and club activities, and on weekends they enjoy homestays as they build friendships with our students. In turn, Hakuho students travel to Bhutan for about a week of exchange study, experiencing the local culture and school life.

Philippines Exchange Program
We run an exchange program with Miriam College High School (an all-girls school), our educational partner in the academic city of Quezon City. During a 10-day stay, students take part in classes that include Japanese culture and international literacy, and exchange ideas with Hakuho students about each other’s cultures and school life. In addition, Hakuho exchange students spend roughly one week experiencing school life on-site at the partner school.

Thailand Exchange Program
- In 2015 (Heisei 27), we entered into an educational partnership — centered on student exchange — with The Regent’s School, a British-system international school near Bangkok. Selected Hakuho students take part in a roughly three-week study program. While living in an international dormitory alongside students from around the world, they receive an education at the partner school.
- Shinagawa International School (Tokyo)
As part of our educational activities, we send many students to the English Summer Program at the above school as assistant staff. Students gain valuable experience by communicating in English with native teachers and participating children.

Domestic Partner Schools
As part of our educational activities, Hakuho dispatches a number of students to the above schools’ English Summer Programs as assistant staff. While communicating in English with native teachers and the participating children, students gain valuable hands-on experience.

Japanese Language Classes for Returnee Students and Students of Foreign Nationality
A Japanese-language education coordinator delivers Japanese language classes to students who need them.

Through level-appropriate instruction in Japanese, students acquire both everyday language and academic language — supporting the development of globally capable individuals.
