Career Guidance
“Career Education” — where students reflect on their future selves and the path ahead — and “Learning Support” — covering everything from study-method guidance to entrance-exam preparation.
These two together bring your future within reach.
By beginning to think and to find your study rhythm slowly from your first year, you can picture your future without pressure and grow step by step.
One step at a time, you will draw closer to becoming a confident, radiant young woman.

Career Guidance Sessions
Career Education: Universities, Junior Colleges, Vocational Schools, and Beyond
Listening to the voices of university, junior college and specialized-college teachers,
we make advancement choices that connect to the future. We invite teachers from universities, junior colleges and specialized colleges once a year at each grade level. First-year students explore the occupations and careers that interest them through hands-on activities and picture their future. Second-year students, keeping in mind who they want to be five and ten years from now, listen to teachers and identify the path to their desired institution for realizing their dream. Third-year students obtain admissions information directly from their target schools and work toward making their dream a reality.

Advancement Support ProgramAdvancement Support Program
Thoughtful and clear — support that goes beyond the classroom.
Introduction of the Self Study Laboratory
From the 2020 academic year, we introduced the after-school independent-study support program “Self Study Laboratory.” Students consolidate what they have learned in class as solid knowledge through after-school self-study, working toward more reliable academic improvement. Because it is held at school, study time can be increased without strain, and the right study habits become firmly established. Dedicated tutors support students from the very first step of building a study plan, so students can feel at ease. From mid-term and final-examination preparation to university entrance-exam preparation, daily study can be completed entirely at school. The Academics Advanced Course and the Academics Standard Course participate as a whole, and students from other Courses may also take part.
Eiken and IELTS
We encourage students to take Eiken (the Eiken English Proficiency Test) and IELTS — not only those in the Global Advanced Course and Global Standard Course, but all students. Whether you go on to the humanities or the sciences, English is a subject everyone needs. Strengthening your English and raising your grade or score opens up a wider range of universities to consider.
Mock Examinations
Through regularly held mock examinations, students test what they have learned and see where they stand nationally. Based on the results, teachers guide them in reviewing their study plans and methods.
Open Campus Visits
“Seeing is believing.” During summer break, students actually visit their first-choice schools — observing the facilities and the student atmosphere, learning about research areas, and using that experience to help decide which schools to apply to.
Summer, Winter, and Spring Seminars
First-year students take three subjects: English, Mathematics, and Japanese. Second- and third-year students choose their own examination subjects. A wide range of courses is offered, from solid review of the fundamentals to focused entrance-exam preparation.
One-on-One Counseling
Homeroom teachers hold one-on-one counseling sessions with each student in their class, understanding where the student is now and guiding her toward the path she hopes to take.
Career Guidance Sessions
Career guidance sessions are held for each year group, ensuring that over the three years students are able to choose their own path step by step.
