Universities in Japan or abroad

In addition to English skills, students also aim to improve their Japanese skills while learning about Japanese culture. Students of various nationalities come together, deepening mutual understanding of each other’s countries of origin and families.

By deepening international awareness and further strengthening English ability, students refine their global perspective. Building on rich overseas study programs and valuable experiences from language-training trips, this course develops mutual understanding of different cultures and a mindset of multicultural coexistence. Additionally, students study Japanese culture such as tea ceremony and incense ceremony, and give English presentations in class so they can share these traditions with the world. After graduation, students aim for mid-tier universities within Japan (in areas such as foreign languages and international relations).

Topics

International Liberal Arts

To acquire the basic liberal arts needed in international society, we have established a subject called “International Liberal Arts” and provide classes. External instructors help develop communication skills, and in addition to world affairs, students learn Japanese culture such as English tea ceremony, incense ceremony, and how to wrap a furoshiki, aiming to nurture women who can communicate the goodness of their home country to the world.

The Global Course develops students who can flexibly respond to the changes of an increasingly internationalized and diversified era. Starting in AY 2026, in addition to the existing Advanced and Standard courses, a new Global JSL Course will begin, developing students with foreign nationality or overseas roots. Hakuho’s Global Course promotes exchange programs with sister schools and opportunities to learn overseas — through improving language ability, understanding diverse cultures, and refining self-expression, students take on the challenge of expanding their own potential.
