A course for those aiming to master English as a tool and become people who can thrive anywhere in the world. In addition to mastering the four English skills, students develop a global perspective, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and expression ability.

This course refines communication, research, and presentation skills using English as a tool, and cultivates the resilience to identify and communicate solutions to problems from a global perspective. Native teachers and Japanese teachers together strengthen the four English skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening), and with the option of humanities or science tracks, students can learn in a way that aligns more closely with their desired career path. After graduation, students aim for overseas universities or top-tier domestic universities (in fields they wish to research more deeply).

From learning to practice — Students taking flight

Students are expanding their arenas of activity from classroom learning to the outside world. For example, through classes handling original English books, a student took on the “Oxford Big Read Contest” (a poster combining an English plot summary and an image of the work) held by Oxford University Press, and won the top prize. Furthermore, through activities related to the SDGs, our students participated last year as school representatives in the “Sustainable Brands Conference 2020,” attended by many companies and university students. Using “religious issues” as a theme, they created a halal restaurant map and gave a business collaboration proposal presentation to a travel agency. Our students’ activities extend beyond the school and continue to expand further outside.

This course develops the qualities, solid English ability, and communication skills for mutual understanding needed to respond to international society. Students in both the Global Advanced Course and Global Standard Course all participate in an English Camp in the first year and a homestay language-training program in the United States in the second year. In addition, through short/mid/long-term study abroad, sister-school exchanges, internship programs at international schools within Japan, and international liberal-arts courses, students can further deepen their English communication skills. Many international students and students of foreign nationality are enrolled, creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
