On January 17, our bouldering club participated in the “Kanagawa Prefectural High School Rookie Athletic Meet — Sport Climbing (Boulder category)” held at Hadano Tanzawa Climbing Park. Results: Team — Runner-up. Individual — 4th place Runa Sumura (Grade 11), 7th place Koko Sakurai (Grade 10). Although we did not reach our goal of first place, each athlete could feel significant growth from displaying the results of daily practice. Going forward, we aim for further improvement toward next year’s comprehensive athletic meet. Our bouldering club has members who started as beginners and went on to win awards.
