From February 14 through February 17, our Media Art Expression Course’s third-year students held their “Graduation Exhibition.” Making full use of illustration, video, and audio production techniques cultivated over three years, each student created and exhibited a work summing up their studies. Approaches were varied: some carefully expressed their own worldviews from the concept stage, others delved into themes of personal interest to shape them into form, and yet others elevated everyday moments into works of art. Students themselves designed everything, from the artwork motifs to the exhibition composition. Beyond illustrations and video works, expression extended widely to photography, fashion, and sewing — powerful works showcasing each student’s individuality lined the venue. On Sunday, February 15, parents and alumni visited to take their time appreciating the works. First- and second-year Media Art Expression Course students also attended, watching senior works with sparkling eyes. Especially the second-years, looking ahead to their own paths and next year’s graduation works, appreciated the exhibition earnestly. This exhibition, packed with three years of learning, marks the start of new steps for our third-year students. Please look forward to their further growth and success.
