Day 6 of the overseas program started with morning yoga. Students had grown accustomed to the movements through experience and calmly focused on practice. Afterwards they attended classes at the local school and worked on dance and walking practice for Friday’s event. Awareness of the actual performance heightened their earnest engagement. In preparation for Sankranti festival the next day, Indian students applied henna tattoos to our students. Touched by the warmth of local students who tended to them until late, our students deepened their gratitude — a precious time of exchange.
