On Wednesday, January 7, we held the Reiwa 7 3rd Term opening ceremony at Hakuho Arena. In the Principal’s address: “The 3rd term has finally begun. Although short in duration, this is the most important time of year to feel growth. For third-year students, this is the last remaining stretch of high school life leading to graduation. For first- and second-year students, this is preparation time to move on to the next stage. Take lessons from last year’s reflections, believe ‘I can do it,’ and continue challenging new possibilities. It is you yourself — no one else — who decides your own path. In daily school life, do not forget gratitude to those around you, and cherish ‘independent learning’ — thinking and acting on your own.” Awards followed for the tennis, calligraphy, and swimming (water polo) teams, who all achieved excellent results. From the Student Guidance department: “School is not a place for just yourself. Please grow into someone who acts with consideration for those around you.” — a chance for each student to re-examine school life. After the ceremony, homeroom activities covered future schedules and grooming checks. The 3rd term is also called “the 0th term of the next school year.” With next year in mind, ask yourself again “What can I do at this time?” and spend fulfilling days.
