From Thursday, March 19 to Sunday, March 22, the 12th All-Japan Junior (U17) Water Polo Championship — Kashiwazaki Shiokaze Cup — was held at Kashiwazaki Aqua Park in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture. Our water polo section participated as the Kanagawa Prefecture selection. Results: vs. Tokyo Selection — Won 28-3; vs. Toyama Swimming Palace — Won 18-14; vs. Kyoto Selection — Won 11-10. With these results, our team achieved a magnificent championship victory. The following four members were selected as Best 7 (Outstanding Player Award): Michika Kondo, Iroha Kanbara, Sari Sato, and Yu Kitajima. Although we participated as the Kanagawa selection, all members were Hakuho students, making this the team’s first national championship as an intact unit. In every match, each player fought tenaciously to the end, and those efforts led to this result. We deeply thank everyone for the daily support and cheers.
