Bhutan Inbound Farewell Party Held
2026.07.14
The exchange students from Pelkhil School in Bhutan, who had been visiting since January 27, reached their final day, and on February 6 a farewell party was held by first- and second-year Global Course students. On the day, exchange students gave presentations about Bhutanese culture and Pelkhil School. The presentations, which included quizzes, drew active participation from our students, and the venue was lively. Traditional Bhutanese dances were also performed, offering a valuable opportunity to encounter costumes and atmospheres different from Japan. At the end of the party, each buddy student gave the exchange students a decorative message board and sweets wrapped in furoshiki cloth. Watching the students sad to part, we could feel that this exchange period had become an irreplaceable memory for each student. Through this exchange, they learned the importance of building friendship beyond language and cultural differences. We hope they will draw on this experience in future school life and beyond.
