Sunday is an important day in the Philippines because of its Christian heritage, and Hakuho students took the opportunity to take a break from school and visit the upscale neighborhood of Antipolo overlooking Manila. After enjoying the scenery, they toured a popular art gallery called the Pinto Art Museum, which showcases the work of local artists in a beautiful mountain gallery. In the afternoon, students toured the Marikina Shoe Museum, which houses the shoe collection of former First Lady Ms. Marcos, mother of the current President.
