India Exchange Program 3
2026.07.14
Day 3, we visited a farmhouse in Tumkur. The magnificent expanse of coconut and guava trees on the vast property was breathtaking, and we could truly feel India’s rich nature. We were also specially introduced to traditional farming methods using now-unused bulls โ a valuable opportunity to learn about traditional agriculture. For lunch, we spread mats outdoors and enjoyed fresh farm fruits and traditional dishes made with basmati rice. Dining surrounded by great nature was an unforgettable experience for students. After the meal, students enjoyed cricket and drawing amid nature, and tasted chai made in a traditional pot. Afterwards, we visited a temple called Basadi Betta and took in a panoramic view of Tumkur from the mountain top. A day to touch both nature and culture and know Tumkur’s appeal deeply.
